Feed The Need

Helping people in our community is a year-round task. Many need food, shelter, clothing, rent assistance and other services.

Donate Now

FAMILIES FACING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP ARE OFTEN LEFT TO CHOOSE BETWEEN FINDING THEIR NEXT MEAL AND KEEPING THE LIGHTS ON.

It's not uncommon that families are left without the resources they need. After Christmas, many food pantries experience a decrease in donations. The Salvation Army is working to Feed The Need that goes far beyond restocking the shelves. Your time and generous contributions enable our struggling community to receive the services they need. Without having to worry about what their next choice will be, our clients can feel at ease.

FEEDING THE NEED ELIMINATES CHOICES

Your generous donations help thousands of people every week. Take a look at some of the programs that benefit and our supporters.

Partnering with The San Diego Gulls
On March 1, Members of The San Diego Gulls Hockey Club served dinner to those in need at The Salvation Army downtown center to raise awareness and Feed The Need.

Food Pantries
Our food pantries rely on the donation of non-perishable food items. When you donate to the food pantries, you are providing families with the meals they need to sustain a healthy life.

Shelter
Group homes and transitional living centers provide the homeless, youth, and families with support by providing meals, housing, and temporary living arrangements.

Adult Rehabilitation
The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers reconnect families with their loved ones who have struggled with alcohol and drug abuse.
